I hope GOP senators realize the likes of Hunter Biden will plead the Lois Lerner Fifth if called to testify.  He will have that right and it will be in his best interest.  Just hope senators have plan around it.

As we have heard often that lack of answers or the 5th is a obvious sign of guilt - I hope they do take the 5th so we can see the same ones who have told us that the 5th proves guilt claim otherwise "in this case of a demoncrat"

Of course he will plead the 5th, as he should.  They simply need to go through all their questions with his every answer being, "On adivce of counsel I am asserting my 5th amendment rights."  The better question is whether all of them, including Pencil Neck, will plead the 5th.  And just to be clear, assuming they follow the Clinton path it will likely not initially be open testimony.  It will be a deposition with the results provided to the jury (Senators).  Would be an interesting issue for Biden himself if he is called.  Pleading the 5th for him would be a disaster.  Having him testify would likewise be a disaster.  Letting him near your children would be negligent.

I can only imagine the question by the President's lawyer.  "So Mr. Bolton were you lying then or are you lying now?"   This kind of thing is like catnip to lawyers when they have a witness that can be shown to have lied about something which totally destroys their credibility.  Based on the video comments by Bolton there is literally no reason to call him as a witness.  He has zero credibility and there is no way to determine which one was a lie and given the statements by all the Dem witnesses in the House we can guess which was a lie. 

What Bolton said in the video is consistent with the transcript of the call, consistent with what Zelensky has said repeatedly, consistent with all the witnesses that stated Trump wanted no quid pro quo, consistent with all the witnesses that stated that Trump never explicitely tied the delay in funding to anything and on and on and on.  I agree it's over from an acquittal perspective but given Romney and the other squishy Republican Senators it remains to be seen how much longer Bernie, Fauxahontas, et al have to sit in their chairs while Biden roams Iowa gaffing away.

At this point, Bolton is just in it to sell books.  He's cashing in.  But no one wants to read about the life of a bureaucrat, unless there is some really juicey dirt.  He's probably love to testify, just so he could sell more books.  He is really a prime example of the Peter Principle.
