When you look at the multiple instances of the impeachment managers insulting Senators and Fauxahontas insulting Roberts I have come to believe they never wanted witnesses.  The reality is they know that neither Bolton nor Mulvaney are going to say anything new and that neither will turn the tide when it comes to the vote.  There was never a path to 2/3rds with these articles. And I think they know that if there was a vote for witnesses there would be a lengthy legal battle over executive privilege, which they will likely lose.  Meanwhile, Pencil Neck, the Biden's, Ciaramella and others would be up there pleading the 5th over and over again.

So now their strategy is to claim that Trump was never really put on trial and wasn't acquitted because of a lack of witnesses.  For sure the real winners of this are Crazy Bernie, Fauxahontas, Nasty Amy, etc. who can finally get back on the campaign trail.  And the other big winner is Trump because regardless of what the Democrats and their masters in the media claim, he will be saying loud and clear every chance he gets that he was innocent and it was a sham and a hoax and he was acquitted.  And all the while the Democrat House got literally nothing else done....which in my humble opinion is actually a side benefit of impeachment.

You are absolutely correct but they needn't to look like Republicans are blocking a fair trial.  Now there are negotiations to extend votes until next Wednesday!  Why?  Vote tonight or Saturday.  Why would republicans delay now?  Strange.

I'm starting to have nightmares of pencil neck & his blue tie ; also hoping Jeff Coleman( that guy who claims he started working at age 10) gets  elected to Congress so we dont have to see his silly ad's on tv

I think they wanted them to delay this as long as possible.  Now they can say that the acquittal is "illegitimate"  and run with that for a while.  It'll be good for the talking head rounds and for 30 days of sound bites.  I don't know when I have been so disgusted by Washington.  Maybe now they'll call for a new "special investigation".  ON what you may ask?  Does it even matter?
