We are buying a place a few miles south of Eclectic.  It uses propane and there is a good sized tank, at least acouple hundred gallons, on the property.  Which company in the Eclectic area has the best service and prices?  The house is small and the water tank is electric, so we probably won't use a lot compared to most.  Thanks in advance for information and/or opinions!

I use APEX Propane out of Tallassee. They provide good service and have competitive prices and products.

A lot will depend on whether it is a  leased tank or if it goes with the property.  If it is a leased tank then only the company it is leased from will fill it.  If you own it you can shop best price.  I've never seen more than 10 cents difference in any of them.  To find out more ask the previous owner or if that is not an option call any fo them and they will come check and can usually tell you who owns the tank.  it may have a tag or label under the dome on top also.  Good luck.  As for who to call I woud say anyone but Area.  Been with them for years and the owner got rude with the wife recently.

Thanks.  We may be in the market for a propane-fired range as well.  Do they sell appliances and are their prices also competitive in that arena?

BTW, I saw one company that advertised a subscription-based service for the gas.  Does Apex require such or can you order a couple hundred gallons at a time when needed?

Thanks again...

We have a pre-closing walk-through Thursday and I will put that on my list of questions.  Thanks!

It's a commodity and the price is fairly stable so the difference is in the service you get from them.  IF it is a lease tank you can cancel and get another or buy your own. The lease is usually about $3 month and some folks prefer that than ownig because they maintain it.  In 20 years I have had to buy one regulator at about $100 if I remember correctly.  That included installation. Tanks are standard 100,250, 500 gallons.  Some companies will do a monthly fill and bill but most wont.  It falls on you to check your tank and order when needed.  Most companies I have used want a 100 gallon minimum to deliver but obvisuolly will do smaller fills on the 100 tanks.  You have to remember the 80% rule which is they wont fill a tank more than 80% full due to expansion in heat and recomend filling at 20% level.  So if yo have a 250 gallon tank the most that they will put is 200 gallons.  Also don't ever let it run empty.  If it does they have to do a leak test before they can refill it.  It runs $60-80 a pop.

Hope this helps.  I had to learn all this the hard way.

Quick question. If the tank is leased will there be some obvious label or sticker indicating it belongs to the supplier?  We met with the seller today and he never lived there and didn't know. At least I was able to confirm it is a 250 gallon tank. Just have to figure out if it is ours!

Sometimes there is a label or tag under the dome but if you can't figure it out call the closest dealer and they will probably stop by an be able to tell. Or you may try calling the locals and give them the adress and they should be albe to tell you if it is their tank or if they have ever serviced your address. It took me a number of years to get used to having a tank to fill.  I lived in a town that piped it straight to your house and sent a bill each month.

You are doing good work. Because there are many people who do not have the facility of water tanks in the area. Also you can get help from ca.bestessays.com to manage your quality task easily. But no need to worry now because they can build a water tank of any shape for you. Thank for this.
