So my wife texted me while I was at work on Friday and asked if we could go to the lake to get away from the Wuhan ChiCom Chinese virus and I was all in.  We played golf at Stillwaters Saturday morning, took the dog on a walk on the Lakeshore Trail in the afternoon, grilled steaks on the deck while drinking adult beverages.  On Sunday we went to mass at St. Vincent DePaul and it was nicely crowded.  Emptied closets fo some interior painting we are having done in a couple of weeks and took the dog on the Lakeshore Trail again.  Lots of boats both days, mostly people fishing.  Reminded us that despite all the nuttiness life still goes on.

Speaking of Stillwaters, here is a condition report.  The sand traps and bunkers are still non-existent.  Fairways and greens are in OK shape.  Basically no improvement. I did notice they removed the GPS systems, probably to save money.  So far the new operators have done little to improve conditions although they did clear away some brush and trees.  They really need to fix the traps.  Still not worth the cost when compared to Grand National.

Hah!  I promise we are not bringing any germs with us.  And our dog is trying his best to rid the lake of pesky geese and unwanted otters.  Sadly for him all he does is wear himself out and amuse the wildlife.  My favorite was watching the otter let him get close and then diving under the water and coming up some distance away.  He finally got frustrated and gave up.  The otter looked mildly amused.

Had dinner at Copper's a couple of weeks ago for the first time in a year and a half.   Hoping for improvements and changes, but nothing.  Same mediocre menu and food.  Guess I'll wait another 18 months.

Still sitting on $250K.  Some debate as to which fund I will put the cash into.  Still plan to do $5K per week and accelerate if the panic starts to ease.

You are one smart (or lucky) man!  Good luck but sounds like you don't need it.  Of course Ackman says "he'll is here"

That's because he is a leftist.  He loves every minute of this and is praying for a depression and huge numbers of deaths so he can get his political dreams fulfilled.  I for one have tremendous confidence in the American people and understand the limitations of government.  We'll get through this and good will come of it.  For one, I am hoping we divest of our use of China to manufacture our goods.  Let's bring those jobs back home where we won't be at risk to the originators of the Wuhan ChiCom Chinese virus.  We did it with oil and can longer be held hostage by Middle East oil.
