Corona virus

A friend of mine in RI said a friend of hers who works in health care was called into an emergency meeting at the hospital & was told that a lot of patients with the virus were getting it from gas pumps . The recommendation was to wear gloves or hold a paper towel when U pump gas & to throw them away b4 U get home.

Especially when filling up in an area where there are a lot of infections.  Being a Neanderthal who still hand draws I was in my office every day last week.  The other person in the space and l are keeping at least 8 feet between us and using a paper towel to open doors in our office complex.  I hope all this is overkill and all the naysayers on the forum can give us all who have taken it seriouisly an ''I told you so'' razzing when it is over.  As Fauci says that is when we will know the draconion recommendations worked.

On my only trip to China, I witnessed similar washing of dishes.  As we were leaving a restaurant we walked past the “dishwashing room” and saw women dipping dishes in buckets of cold water, no soap, to cleanse.  Fact:  I may hold the record for throwing up for the greatest distance in history.....from China to B’ham.  Food poisoning and 747s don’t make for fond memories.  Don’t ever think dimokraps favorite sources of voters are civilized.

I have a close relative who went to China with a business group a few years back.  He sent a phone photo of his plate at a restaurant!  He said he was given a menu in broken English and the only words he could make out had to do with a chicken, so he ordered!  He was served a lightly cooked chicken rooster head propped up “real pretty” on his plate.  Wish I still had that photo.
