Then why was China begging ventilator manufacturers worldwide like GE Healthcare, Medronic, Draegerwerk, Phillips Healthcare, Allied Healthcare, Hamilton Medical,  Getinge, if they had a handle on it?    The supply chain for well made ICU ventilators is vast and varied Archie, across the US and Europe.

Why are so many on the forum unwilling to accept the truth even when the truth is welcome news?  Maybe China is able to come to the world's rescue because they did what had to be done much more quickly than we are doing and therefore now over the hump and their economy is cranking back into high gear.

In a word YES. It has been, at least for the moment, brought to heel in China by very strict restrictions on movement.  The virus spread has been stopped in China with no new cases originating inside China for several days in a row. The big question is not whether it has been controlled in China but whether it will flare up again once the screws are loosened.  Do you suggest we refuse to purchase the equipment from China if it available at a fair price. Are you so blinded by your dogged faith in Trump and Trumpism that you even refuse to recognize a bit of good news unless it is announced from the lips of Donald J. Trump himself? I hate loath and dispise Donald Trump (no surprise l'm sure), but I have expressed hope that the ''good news'' from Trump's (and Carlson's) lips about treatment options turns out to be true.

1. China stopped counting cases that didn't result in hospitalization.  

2. If you are not testing, your numbers are not growing
