We have used AlarmRelay on 3 houses since 2011.  They are in CA but have 24 hour, perfectly English speaking response teams.  They are about $12.00 a month, paid once a year.

FOR ANY QUESTIONS, INQUIRIES, OR CONCERNS, PLEASE CALL 1-800-762-9964, EMAIL CUSTOMERSERVICE@ALARMRELAY.COM, OR FAX (619) 442-7171

if you want a true monitoring service, we have had good luck with Furlong's out of Montgomery.

If you have web access, I also really like the Arlo system of cameras.

We've had Furlong for the past 11 years and they are very responsive.

Curiosity question, because we recently got Simplisafe and their premium monitoring for our home in Montgomery.  What does "responsive " mean?  Surely they don't send one of their employees to your house.  Does it mean they are quick to respond to alerts and if you say it might be a real breakin or if they can't get in touch with you do they call authorities?  Reason I ask is that is pretty much the MO for Simplisafe.  The only problem I have had is once i ignored their call because it came from an 800 number that I didn't recognize and they sent the authorities to my house.  Just so happens that it was a very windy day and apparently the wind caused a couple door alarms to go off.  Later I reviewed the video from the camera I have in a strategic location in the house and, even though the siren was screaming, there was nothing going on and when we got home all was in place.  Don't know if I will be getting a bill from the Sheriff's office.

So, other than supporting a local company is there any advantage to using Furlong?

We have been using Furlong's for several years and are very pleased.

A couple of times when we actually had a problem with the system, they were able to send someone out promptly.  When our alarm has gone off, they call 911 immediately and then call me.  A couple of times, I have had to ask them to cancel the 911.  I haven't had any other company since we lived here, so I don't know about how other companies operate.  They were highly recommended to us when we built this house, we had them wire the house and I've not wished I had a different company to deal with.
