Sad thing is that could be a literal statement.  Saw a report this morning that "several" potential car bombs were located around DC.  If that turns out true it is a total game changer.  It is time for bulletts to fly.  Shoot a few and the others run for their mommas like the little bithches they are. I know I will get blasted for that statement but so be it.  YOU LOOT WE SHOOT!! Sounds like a great campaign slogan to me.  CNN can keep a daily count of dead looters, or better yet, just link to the same info on Trumps campaign website.

Those palletts of bricks were bought by someone and delivered to these spots around all the cities.  They miraculously show up just before the riots start and are strategically placed aroung 'rally spots'.  As most know it takes a specialized truck and forklift to unload a pallett of bricks.  That purchase and delivery can be traced.  Whoever is responsible should be sent straight to GITMO as the terroist they are. There will get a millatary tribunal and promptly dispacthed to a chain link prison for, lets say a year for every brick purchased.  Each brick was weapon brought to bear against others.

On the good news front, this should end the lockdown insanity.  Do guvs and mayors think anyone will listen to their BS bout social distancing and lockdowns now?  Actually they probably do.  After all, they have proven themselves to not be the brightest bulb in the chandellier.

When I was young I remember that when a hurricane hit they would bring in the national guard. The orders were to shoot looters on sight. Seldom did we have to shoot more than 1 to 2. Ask the Korean shop keepers what happened during the Rodney king rampage.

I have friends around the country that are in cities that are experiencing the violence and they are afraid.  This is no longer about George Floyd, this is now about mob mentality.  Antifa is saying that they are going to break into private residences and "take back what is theirs" .  These people are not the Black community, they are outside agitaters.  These are the same people that show up a World Bank protests and enviromental protests and any other kind of protest they can find and turn it into violence.  At the same time they are continuing to incite the black community, most likely telling them that they aren't being heard.  The news this morning from Minneapolis that there have been 44 incidences where people lost consiousness by the police using that neck move is not going to help.

Just imagine that was when the Rodney King cops were acquitted - if they bump the charges on this one to murder 1 from murder 3/manslaughter and he walks what we are seeing now is going to be mild in comparison to when the real chit hits the fan - they are just getting started.

People who take advanage of these situations and natural disasters are just looking for an excuse to get together in mass and do stupid things.  It seems some places over the last few days faired better because of armed owners and people who want to stand up for stores and homes. 

We have often heard from some about why you need an AR15 or a magazine that holds 30 rounds.

Please look to ANY news outlet about the riots and I give you exhibit A.  If you are lucky you have more then one "assault rifle" and many magazines to hold off criminals as needed.  Hopefully they see you are armed and walk on to the next victim and leave you in peace.

If I thought that tearing down statues and breaking windows would bring social justice to this country, I would be out there with them.  But its not about that and that will not solve anything.  These people don't give a damn about George Floyd or social injustice.  And because of people like them, there won't be social justice.

Nice normal folks can still plan ahead.

You keep gas in your car in case someone is hurt or you have to travel for unforseen reasons.

You keep food in your house for more then 1 meal at a time.

You should be able to protect yourself and your property if you have to or at least have a plan for something other then oh well, lets just watch our stuff go up in flames.

I didn't say anything about looting, beating people up or any of the other things you mentioned.  

What I said was this - If I thought that we could get rid of social injustice by breaking windows and removing statues, then I would join them.  Because I believe in equality and social justice and would like to see those things take hold in our country.  But we know that it is not that easy.  History cannot be erased by the removal of statues.  

This has nothing to do with ARs and ammo rounds.  It has to do with a shift in policies and practices and belief systems.  It's about giving a hand to your fellow man.  Now before you call me liberal scum or some other derogatory name or label - I believe in God and I believe in being our best selves.  What is happening with the violence has nothig to do with that.

OMG  - Ok Sorry for putting you in the groups as the rank and file criminals  that are currently destroying cities -  you know what the out of control thugs have actually been doing and not just stopping at breaking some windows and yanking down some statues.

For your ideal utopia you would happily join with the people who are looting, burning and beating - but you would draw your line at smashing windows ( destruction of personal property ) to make it easier for people to loot and burn, but you would feel better about your crimes because you did not do the looting and burning you just smashed a few windows making others have to replace them and deal with chaos you helped created all because you decided to only partially run wild in the streets like a thug.  Then you could go by the park to make yourself feel even better for some vandalism and pulling down statues.

The fact that you can mentally justify attacking the property of others and other crimes for what you would want to stand up for, Hopefully you can hold a big sign that says something like "I am just here to smash your glass, please dont put a cap in my azz - I am not here to loot, so please dont shoot - I am different then the rest of these criminals"  Maybe the store owners who are tired of having to deal with out of control idiots will take pity and treat you different then the rest of the animals, but dont be suprised when they dont.  Besides they have insurance(maybe) its not like you are really hurting someone, or just keep telling yourself that and your willingness to be able to justify hurting others in any way to get the world you want. What makes your crimes better then the one who did decide to loot, beat and burn for the world that he/she wants?

You want to peacefully protest, go for it.  Just know that there are people who are going to be willing to protect their families and properties where your rights end and theirs begin.

I am part of the problem but you stating you would go smash things ( now metaphorically ) are not even a smidgen of concern.

I have never said that anyone should listen to me because of my experience or education.  Many years ago, I used to try to provide a different perspective, but I no longer waste my time with that.  Like everyone else here, my experience and education shape my perspective, but so does everything i read, see and observe, just like very other person who posts on this forum.  

My observation, based on your posts and your desire to put words in my mouth leads me to conclude you are one of those people with a big old chip on your shoulder.    May I suggest you put me on ignore and then you won't see anything that I might chose to post.

My observation, based on your posts from just last week is that you think you are smarter then others because of your two degrees while claiming someone else has none. You have chip the size of Texas on your sholder and that you spoke of your willingness to smash windows for social justice you would would do so -  you just may not want to from throws those rocks from inside your glass tower.  I  do not dispute that I can often be abrasive and have a chip as well. 

You seem to be ignorant also of the way ignore works, you seem to be the one offended by me calling you out about your words that you would be willing to smash others property for social justice during the same time that the people are actually smashing windows, looting, throwing rocks at police, shooting police, blowing up ATMs, passing out bombs to rioters and setting fires all in the name of social justice ( and bigger TVs, expensive purses and things that really have nothing to do with police misconduct. ) 

May I suggest you put me on ignore and then you won't see anything that I write at all that would cause offense to your two degrees and former government status.

Sometimes you do have good information and a different viewpoint, I do often look at other points of view.
