From the left and the media and certain scientific illiterates on the Forum.  We are now 6 weeks into the reopening and I have been carefully tracking the cases per million and deaths per million relative to other states.  At the beginning Georgia was ranked 15th in cases per million.  As of today they are at 19th so they have improved on the number of cases rather than what the prognosticators of doom foolishly claimed would happen.  As for deaths per million as of today Georgia has gone from 12th to 17th.  Yet another improvement.  So no, you were wrong and he was right......so be brave and admit it.....admit you were wrong and he was 100% right.  I know you can do it.  And thank God we don't have the morbidly obese tent model as our Guv.....none of us would be working except the cook and wait staff in the Gov's mansion.....they'd be on overtime all the time.

And even more interesting is the reality that those blue states that were the worst remain the worst despite not having opened up their economies.  They are finally doing so because they are pretty much acknowledging that Kemp was right to follow the science and that reasonable precautions are all we need and shutting down the economy was absolutely wrong.  But I can assure you if the Wuhan ChiCom Chinese virus returns in the fall there will once again be calls to shut down the economy....at least until the first Tuesday in November.

I think it is great that Georgia is open and the numbers are promising.

My 2 children and granddaughter are on the front line working at hospitals as a Doc and 2 nurses so anything positive is great news to me. My son was asked by the Gov of NJ to establish and run a special Virus 19 program in North Jersey for 3 months. He just completed it while my daughter and granddaughter continue to work at a hospital. It has been tough for my wife and me as we sit home thinking about our family as they take care of others during the pandemic. Any positive news is great news and thanks for posting.

Archie has gone on record saying he wants more cases and deaths if it will tank the economy and cause Trump to lose.  For me that was the last straw and he went on permanent ignore.  Someone that callous and evil who would wish death on people just to win an election is not someone I want to have any interaction with, even on a forum like this.

They aren't manipulating the numbers to hide the truth.  I have noted that a lot of states opened up, but people still weren't going out to eat or going to the salons, or going shopping.  .  And that affects the numbers.  I think a lot of people have given up brick and mortar shopping in favor of online.  And we don't know how many companies has their full workforce back in the workplace.  So you can be open, but people are not resuming normal life.

I seriously doubt the numbers are being manipulated but I agree that people are generally following the social distancing and hygiene guidelines which is exactly my point above.  That is what is needed, not these draconian shelter in place measures.  The reality is if they were effective we would have seen a significant spike when they were lifted.  That has not happened.  They were not necessary.  That is the only logical conclusion based on the facts and using logic and reason.
