It's no wonder people are confused and have trouble believing anything coming out of the mouths of CDC, WHO, et al as there has been a serious and totally justified loss of trust.  Here is a partial list of their biggest errors (or outright lies, maybe?):

1. Jan 21 - Fauci says Wuhan virus no big deal.  Apr 1 CDC director says its the biggest health crisis in 100 years.
2. January - masks don't work. June - wear a mask if you can't keep social distancing or are in groups even though they still don't help much.
3. WHO says very little risk from asymptomatic transmission.  Public outcry and three days later they backtrack, not based on the science which says little risk but to quell the mobs.
4. Initial mortality rate claimed to be over 3% using obviously faulty methodology.  We now know it is more like less than 0.3% and dropping.
5. Death toll models initially estimated 2M in the U.S. and was the basis for the govt reaction.  We now know the models were faulty and a "hot mess" as later peer reviewers stated.
6. Death toll numbers are overstated.  We know that anyone who tests positive with the virus was listed as a virus death regardless of the actual cause and we know that Medicare pays 20% bonus for virus deaths and so on.  We heard from the funeral homes forced to put COVID-19 as the cause of death when they knew otherwise.
7. Ventilator crisis early on followed by we have an oversupply, all before the shelter in place and other measures were effective.
8. Virus spreads on surfaces and stays there for weeks to now it is spread like every other virus through prolonged contact with a person that is contagious through airborne transmission
9. Hydroxychloroquine may be effective, it is worthless and will kill you based on faked data, it is a lifesaver for many people, it is no longer allowed as an emergency treatment and so on.
10. Cruising was OK for healthy people early on according to Fauci and later it was deemed to be like walking into a gas chamber.

The point here is that all the misleading, false, contradictory, later disproven, over-reactions, etc. has eroded our trust in these organizations are rightly so.  And this doesn't even address the WHO selling its soul to the ChiComs.

Yeah, of course you would focus on party but that's not my argument.  I have no idea the politics of the so-called experts nor do you.  This isn't about political parties but now that you mention it, help me out here.  Please list for me the party affiliation of the Governors of the top ten worst states in terms of cases and deaths.  Heck, I'll even let you adjust for population by listing the top ten in cases and deaths per million.  

This is what they call in Twitter world as being self owned.....think Goofy, think before you post.

As I mentioned before, my kids are way above me as my time is spent on the Forum and they are out savngs lives as a doctor and nurse.

My ambition as a parent was that they would achieve more success than I did. I assume that all parents, including you, have that hope for their children.

Congratulations to your DIL on her achievements and election in December. It is always nice to read good news.
