New info.  A taser has two shots and both were fired.

The cop had to know there was no danger to himself from the empty taser.

This puts me neutral to liberal.  Shooting may not have been justified.

New info to us armchair quarterbacks.

At the time what did the officer see while chasing the suspect?  He is chasing and sees a muzzle flash - does he know 100% at the time it was the taser, that it was now a paperweight due to that being the 2nd shot?  Nope he knows that a DUI suspect who decided to fight, take a weapon was now fleeing and firing something at them.

Cops are trained to shoot instinctively when a weapon is pointed at them.

I suspect that training might be a reason to acquit.
