Chuck E. Cheese — where kids could be kids while parents nursed headaches — is filing for bankruptcy protection.

The 43-year-old chain, which drew kids with pizza, video games and a singing mouse mascot, was struggling even before the coronavirus pandemic. But it said the prolonged closure of many venues because of coronavirus restrictions led to Thursday’s Chapter 11 filing.

I am pleased that you are eatting healthy and staying slim. As an old white dude in Alabama, you need to watch your salt intake and eat fat free or low fat products. Limit your red meat intake and eliminate adding lard to your frying.

Have you heard of organic vegtables? Probably not, Google it. You will find that farmers do not use pesticides on the plants. I wonder if they sell organic in your neck of the woods?

I always picture white dudes your age in Alabama with a beer belly and high bid overalls. But, you say you are slim.....that should impress The Hound.

Am I the only one who has trouble trying to see the "value" of any of Gone Fishin's posts? Just trying to understand the "mindset" which leads to the "subjects" of his posts is "mind-boggling" to say the least.

that he was looking for a way to post that Chuck E. Cheese was filing for bankruptsy and he figured he'd hook Wix while he was at it.  The bankruptsy news was on CNBC this morning, so he probably saw it there.  

My only knowledge of Chuck E Cheese is that when I lived in VA, the teenager who was wearing the Mouse costume, hauled off and hit a little kid who was having his birthday there.  The teenager said he got very hot in the costume and the kid kept hiting him and he just hit the kid.  No doubt there was a lawsuit involved as a result.  I've never been to Chuck E Cheese personally.  Too many little kids.
