The Republican House and Senate in MS made the Right decision in changing the state flag. From the 1960s to today is an amazing change. It took 60 years, deaths, and protests but finally they have done the right thing. Others will disagree because it represents their heritage.

Yeah....new state flag wil be same as the 100 yr old flag except they are removing the Confederate design in the corner and replacing it with Ole Miss’s Col. Rebel.  Is that an improvement??

I totally agree.  It's time to eliminate those things that are stereotypical.  Why would I want to honor an anti Christian practice?  So all states should do the same and establish procedures by the citizens of the state to remove other items such as a memorials on the wrong side of history.

Looks great to me.  Magnolia tree and a star.  It was the state flag before the current one.  If citizens like it so be it.

I had forgotten about that - the Jeff Davis Hwy.  Seems ripe for renaming to the Black Lives Matter hwy.

Not a fan of the confederate flag, normally I would say that the could go with the white flag of surrender, but I am sure that would be considered racist, so maybe a nice shade of gray so as to hopefully not offend anything or anyone.
