They need to get the guy back in his basement.  When asked by a CBS News correspondent about whether he would take a cognitive test this was his response.

BIDEN: "No, I haven't taken a test. Why the hell would I take a test? C'mon man. That's like saying you, before you got in this program, if you take a test where you're taking cocaine or not, what do you think huh? Are you a junkie?"

Forget that the correspondent was black and how the media would respond if a conservative had said this, and focus on how bizarre that response is.  One of the early signs of dementia is becoming easily agitated and angry....something Biden has done a number of times in the last few weeks.  And now we are getting rumblings from inside the campaign that they need to figure out how to get out of the debates and the govt media is suddenly advocating for scrapping them altogether.  Combine that with the train wreck VP announcement process and Dr. Jill becoming the face of the campaign in recent media appearances and it gives you some insight into how far gone his mind is. 

At this point it is unclear to me how all this is going to end.  Keep him in the basement until after the election?  Find a reason to replace him with someone other than Comrade Bernie?  No good choices right now and if we had an actual media they would forced to do something now.....but we don't.

Have heard that those within the campaign are worried.  Clearly, he is a paper candidate for someone else.  Hilary?   BLM?  I almost feel sorry for him, because he is clearly being exploited and perhaps he doesn't realize it.  Elder abuse.

Nope.  He claimed the had taken the same test as Trump and "aced" it.  The he went on to say he was being tested on an on going basis.  I'm sure he has taken the same test adn if by aced he meant 1 I can unsderstand.  Max score on the test is 30 so a 1 seems about right.

To be fair to him, he might not know the difference between a virus test and a cognitive test.  Probably if they asked him what was involved in the cognitive test he would tell them they used a cotton swab in his mouth, had it analyzed and he aced it.  That's how far gone he is.

Elder abuse indeed.  I blame his wife as she is the one that knows exactly what is happening to his mental faculties.  I suspect she wants so badly to be First Lady that she is a willing participant in this charade.  She's seen how the Clintons and Obamas have cashed in big time and wants her payola for putting up with the pervert all these years.  Cynical speculation on my part obviously but what is not speculation is that she is the one that should have never let this happen to him. 

Democrats needed him to stop Bernie and he did so.  But now they are stuck with a guy in steep mental decline and are trying to figure a way out.  If they try to replace him before the election the Bernie bro's are going to demand he take Biden's place which would be a disaster for the party all the way down the ballot.  If they replace him with someone else they will likewise go ballistic.  Not a good situation for the party but one of their own making as they move from being controlled by progressives to being the party of socialists and communists.

I think the Democratic strategy is to keep the civil unrest going strong, hope Covid-19 stays robust and, as a result, the economy and financial markets tank.  If Biden is elected, we will most likely see the first actual attempt to use the 25th Amendment to have him replaced, by his own party.  After hearing his most recent gaffes, there is no way he can survive 4 years in the Oval Office, IMHO.
