The question just needs to be asked......What's going on with earth moving on Coosa 20?

I wondered the same thing.  This is not the first time they have moved dirt around on that site but it actually looks like they may have something in mind this time.  I'm wondering if they are going to put in more storage units since it seems like Sims is the one pushing the dirt around.  I was tempted to stop and ask them today, but no one was close to the road.  The only other thing I could think of is Dollar General, which seems to pop up in places where there aren't other stores.

Right.  They cleared it I'm thinking 2 years ago, and then they had signs out there for the longest time for fill dirt.  But all of a sudden they are pushing dirt around in a major way and it looks like they are grading.

Ok, I was thinking it might be that land on the left closer to your turnoff or on the right between the two Bywater entrances. Please keep us who can't get up there often informed when it becomes more apparent what it will be. God help us if it is a DG.

Make it a Trader Joe's and I will work in the wine department :-)

Publix already turned down Alex City.  But if my being a cashier was a requirement to get a Publix, I'd do it.  I'll have you know, I have experience as a supermarket cashier.  I worked as that while I was in HS and we didn't even have computerized registers, so I had to make change and even bag groceries.

Yeah, I'm not too excited about a DG either.  But they seem to be popping up.  There is a new one as you turn onto 22 headed to Rockford.

A Trader Joe's would be awesome, but I will have to pass on the "Two Buck Chuck" although it is probably Six Buck Chuck, by now.

If I lived in Coosa, I welcome a Dollar General!!!  We have one close by that has a parking lot full of Georgia tags all weekend.  Gotta be the busiest DG on earth.  Someone told me that Tallapoosa Cty has 12 or more DGs now open.  Like Wallyworld’s back in the 70’s-80s.

Passed by there yesterday.  Didn't seem much has changed from a couple weeks ago.  Too wet maybe?  Seemed like there was some soil erosion happening.
