It was a formality.  There were two folks who had enough delegates to be nomitated, so they were nominated.  Another person nominated Sanders and AOC was seconding the nomination.  Then someone nominated Biden, along with a second.  Protocol

As they scanned the globe to each state there were votes for Sanders and votes for Biden, although they all knew who was the winner.

Now AOC could have thrown a bone to Biden but she is all in for the Sanders agenda, which will now be the AOC Squad agenda.

Yes, you are probably right.  But now Sanders needs to throw his votes to Biden, which I am not sure he will do.  Hopefully, AOC will be voted out, along with the rest of her "squad" and we can get down to business as Americans, not socialists.

I was commenting on the optics of having AOC nominating Comrade Bernie in what little time they gave her and not using the phrase seconding the first nomination call.  I can see my original post was unclear and I can't edit it any more. c'est la vie.

She did say seconded.  I missed that two times in a row.  Still find it ironic that her only role in the convention was to second the nomination of Comrade Bernie.  Methinks the DNC is trying to hide the fact that Bernie, AOC and the squad run the party, not Pelosi or Shumer or Dementia Joe.
