I'm not watching it, but I read the highlights every day.  So they have spent 2 days bashing Trump - so they are preaching to their own choir  - those who will vote for Biden no matter what.  But what they aren't doing is trying to win over those on the Fence or those Republicans who may be doubtful about another 4 years of Trump.  Notice they aren't talking about what they are going to do - or more importantly, how they will do it.  Biden should be uniquely qualified to articulate this, because as he repeatedly states, he's been in the Oval Office Before.  Let me say this again - they are spending their time bashing their opponent rather than talking about their platform and plans.

And you may notice that Biden seems disassociated from this whole process - sort of a vague picture of a man - in my opinion, a paper candidate.  AOC seems to think that Bernie Sanders is still in the running, but she's confused anyway.

Is this what our political process is coming to?  Both sides trashing the other - no new ideas for the future?  In my view, we need to think about this and how we can bring it back to a normal process - and exchange of ideas and ways forward.  And let's not forget that the two parties in Congress have lost their ability to compromise for the good of the American people.  It's party this, and party that, without any concern for moving the country forward.

I don't know about you, but I find this deeply disturbing.  Locally, look at Doug Jones, trying to serve up fear by saying Republicans want to abolish SS and Medicare, yet that idea has been put to bed years ago.  There are too many people living on SS and counting on Medicare, for them to pull the rug out from under them.  Talk about a disaster!  Trump has never said that he wants to abolish SS; in fact, he has repeatedly said that he won't.

Our political process is going away.  We need to do something about it.  Hopefully, Trump won't spend his nomination acceptance speech bashing Democrats, because the people watching will be his supporters.  He already has them.  He needs to find a way to reach out to those that are on the fence and bring Republicans who are fed up with his personality, back home.

In their defense they have a candidate suffering from dementia, a VP candidate that didn't even make it to the first primary vote before throwing in the towel and a platform that is wildly out of the mainstream so they basically are going to their only argument...Orange Man Bad.

While there will be plenty of red meat at the GOP convention (as always), there will be a lot of talk about accomplishments and what is next on the horizon which will be a stark contrast to the Dem convention.  But I frankly don't expect the viewership to be much better but I hope to be wrong.

I doubt that the Republican convention will be much different. Both parties are sad. I suppose a reflection of society.

They had to repeat zoom watchers to fill the screen.  What a complete FUBAR.

Tucker Carlson picked apart numerous lies that Michelle Obama spouted off during her boring and bitter speech, but the one Carlson honed in on was the falsehood Obama told about the police killing a “never-ending” procession of unarmed black Americans.

There is no other way to describe this than as a lie.

“We don’t want to be too harsh about this,” Carlson stated. “We’re not lawyers, but we understand the constitutional limits of the First Amendment is now defined — no shouting ‘fire’ in a crowded theater, no criticizing Michelle Obama. We know that, so we’re going to say this as gently as possible, meaning absolutely no disrespect, and of course being certain to pronounce everyone’s name correctly — but what you heard was just a total and complete crock. A never-ending list of innocent people of color continue to be murdered? That’s what Michelle Obama told us.”

My favorite moochelle talking point was the putting of children in cages that her husband built for the same purpose that was being used at border detention centers.
