You folks are missing the point of my initial reply to MM. Physicians all over the country have been using convalescent plasma. It seems logical that it should help. Controlled studies need to be done to determine to whom it should be given and at what point in the disease process it should be given. These studies are ongoing. Let them proceed. For the Trump administration to jump ahead of the parade and start dictating the particulars is interfering with the process of scientific study. It is dangerous and if they proceed in the same manner with vaccine introduction it will prove to be confusing to the public and will slow down the ultimate goal that we all hope for.

You said I misstated the facts in your original reply to my post.  Now all of the sudden you are all for plasma?  If we missed your point it was because whatever it is now being represented as was not what you said. 

But more to my point, what difference does it make if Trump talks about these things?  No doctor is going to recommend something because the President mentioned it.  They aren't stupid.  But for sure as soon as he announced the approval by the FDA the media trotted out all sorts of negative articles about plasma, the left wing nuts in the Twitter/Fakebook/Instagram world were all against it and so on......exactly my point and your reply was right in line with the TDS sufferers.  Honestly, I have tried to give y'all the benefit of the doubt but I am 100% convinced you don't want a cure or effective treatment or a vaccine before November 3rd regardless of the human misery, death and economic destruction....all because of your hatred of Trump.  You don't want good news.  You don't want an early end to the pandemic.  You want Trump to sit by idly and let all the lies and misinformation continue and allow you to focus on the bad news only. It's impossible to have any kind of reasonable discussion with someone with your personality deviance. All the Trump administration pushed was an emergency use approval. It was all ready being used and being studied in a more controlled fashion by medical centers all over the country. If you were interested in actually learning something you might better appreciate that the EUA  makes it MORE difficult to actually do CONTROLLED studies. There is no reason you should know this because it's not your field. There is no shame in that.  You are just so darned sure of your semi-informed opinions. 1st/2nd  line through the word survivors : If trump is for something, the proggies/leftists/anti-trumpists attack that  - I fully agree with it, proggies/leftists/anti-trumpists will flag the post as inappropriate, which someone did - cant argue anything there, nothing medical or science there.

2nd/3rd line picking up with This despite ....donate as it could save lives.  I fully agree with, please donate so that plasma ( possibly covid + plasma is avialable for testing(science) and use by doctors who make medical decisions based on whatever the dr. decides is appropriate.

And of course it is important to note that in my last line I didn't say he "could" serve two more terms, maybe three.....I said he "deserved" to, which of course is my opinion and one I hold very strongly.  He certainly deserves another term in 2024 given what they did in his first, but alas, that cannot happen.

But isn't it not in the least surprising that when I backed up the President's touting of plasma with science he suddenly changed his tune and tried to "clarify" what he was really saying.....which wasn't at all what he said or even implied with his response.  Just imagine if we had allowed HCQ/ZPAC/Zinc from the outset like other countries that have had much lower hospitalization and death rates.  And just imagine how many lives might be saved by the President making this announcement so more people that have recovered from the virus will donate plasma.  But no, when you have TDS you must oppose it.  More death. More economic ruin.  That is their goal.

Too bad Trump didn't go all in for the BLM/Antifa riots....maybe the Dem mayors and governors might have already squashed the rebellion....because, you know....Orange Man Bad.

This was the Martini statement that began this thread. It is incorrect in that no one currently involved with treatment of Covid 19 patients is against donating of convalescent plasma and conducting controlled studies to find out if it helps and when in the course of progression of the disease it should be used. Fauci and others have stated that the administration's actions just make the task more difficult to accomplish this.
