Looks like Sally is not to far from bringing yellow and red radar weather.  If yall dont mind, you full timers please let us know if any damage is done in areas.  Coming in from the southwest so the Red Hill, Kowliga, Damn, real island, all the south edges of the lake will get it first.  Hopefully just a bunch of water but should it get ugly holler at us unfortunate ones that cant be there.

As an add on to your post, would also appreciate of any reports from Stillwaters and Blue Creek areas. Thanks!

How are the winds?

Not a lot of wind so far.  Rain is a different matter as my rain gauge says we have gotten close to 2" thus far here in the Chimney Rock area, with no end in sight.

I'm in Stillwaters: Raining fairly hard and has been for a long time.  Winds aren't bad but gusty at times.  We have power which is great as it seems we lose it with a breeze on sunny days.  Hope I didn't just jinx us! :)

Down in the Kowaliga area it didnt seem to be as bad.  This morning - overall rain was 3.3 inches of rain. Winds were in the upper teens last night.  Heard a few small limbs fall during the night - will check that out once its daylight.

Hope Alabama Power didnt lower the lake too much, as I see it has not came back up at all overnight.

Any update from Stillwaters?  Trees down?  Did your power hold up through the night? Thank you

The watershed got a lot of rain and it will probably take a few days for its effect on the lake level to be felt.

Looks like it's only down 1" from yesterday, maybe 3" for the week. They also only have one generator running now and show schedule of zero from 2000 to noon tomorrow when one comes back on line.

I had limbs and leaves all over but nothing major.  I think there may have been a tree down here and there in the neighborhood but overall appears Stillwaters faired well.
