Agree Rich, this is going to bring a whole new dynamic to the chaos that has been going on in 2020.  The Dems are probably apoplectic at the thought of Trump getting another SCOTUS appointment.  Unfortunately, there is no way that Trump and the Senate can get another appointee nominated, vetted and approved before November.  They need to control the Senate, win the Presidency and then, appoint the right candidate to fill that vacancy.  It is all there in front of them, they just have to convince the voting public.  Just git er dun!!!!!

It has been suggested that John Roberts would be the deciding vote when the election results make it to the SC.  Now there will only be 8 votes.  Interesting!

POTUS has already given short list and I would be surprised if much of the vetting has not already taken place. I think more to the point is Mitch counting votes and seeing weather he has enough to pass. It will be close with some already stating they would not confirm until after the election ie Mukowski and Collins though a women nominee may change that. Then you have Rhino Romney. It will be interesting to watch it shake out.

Supposedly her dying wish was that she not be replaced until a new President was seated.  I think it is pretty sad that on her death bed, she's worrying about who is going to replace her in her job.

I wouldn't doubt thats been on her mind since President Trump got elected. She was asked to step down because of her failing health under Obama but refused. I assume she believed the hype and thought Hillary was a shoe in. When Trump won I imagine outliving his term was always on her mind.

There is literally zero chance that Collins, Murkowski and Romney are going to give Trump another SCOTUS pick.  For Collins it will be about keeping her Senate job, Murkowski is just obstructionist and Romney suffers from TDS.  All that's needed is one more defection and no joy.  O'Connor and Stevens were both confirmed in less time.  It's not the time, it's the RINO's.

And Ted Cruz gave an excellent reason to do it.....if the election is contested and it has to be decided by SCOTUS there would only be 8 justices and it could be a tie and a constitutional crisis would occur...a real one.

You can't possibly be that obtuse.....wait, don't answer that.  Let me help you out here.  Democrats are arguing, against history and precedence, to wait until the results of the next election, right?  So in order for the American people to make a decision about who they want as the next AJ on SCOTUS they will need to know who Dementia Joe's handlers are going to use him as a senile sock puppet to nominate.  We know Trump's list....let the American people see who the wizard behind the drooling curtain will nominate.  

The real reason they won't is that Dementia Joe is controlled by far left radicals totally out of the mainstream and his list will look like Fidel Castro's cabinet and it will hurt his chances in November.....much like every time he talks without a teleprompter hurts his chances.
