The growth of adults holding permits to carry concealed guns has surged 34% in the past four years, and the rush to get one has resulted in long lines as some counties have faced cutbacks due to the coronavirus crisis, according to a new report.

More than 9% of the 209 million adults in the United States have a permit to carry a concealed weapon, and the number of people who carry a concealed weapon is likely much higher because several states don’t require a permit.

According to Lott’s report, “Seventeen states no longer provide data on all the people who are legally carrying a concealed handgun because people in those states no longer need a permit to carry.”

Other highlights:

• Alabama has the highest concealed carry rate at 28.5%.
• Indiana is second with 18.7%.
• Five states now have over 1 million permit holders.
• As the number of permits have gone up, violent crime has decreased slightly.

Looks like some are learning that they are responsible for their own personal safety.

Have you tried to buy ammo lately?  Been looking for some target 9mm.  Can't find any local at a half way reasonable price and can't find any on line, at all.  BTW, if anyone thinks it's about China Flu....it ain't.  It's about Hibin Biden and has antifa idiot bros.  Things are getting crazy.

It has been getting harder and harder to locate most ammo especially 9mm, even reloading supplies are getting sold out in stores and online pretty much everywhere.  Last I saw was at a store in Trussville had 7-10 cases of 9mm round nose @ $40bucks/50.  

if I can keep my son from going to the range I should have enough to survive the possible civil war - have lots loaded and probably enough supples 200 more 9mm if needed.  Try to keep a 1000 on hand since between 5 family members there are 6 9mm pistols.

I am running low on 223 and 30-06 bullets though, have plenty of brass, powder and bullets.  probably only supplies on hand for maybe 3-400 more each.  and worse case go back to black powder good for another  few thousand shots of lead/powder/caps - and when the caps run low there is the flintlock which if it comes to that I just use rocks or something as a projectile.

Guess if all else fails I can go back to reloading shotgun shells- probably have 40 lbs of lead shot ranging from dust to 00 buck.

I have never seen ammo this scarce since the .22 rimfire void under Oblamer - I look at it as a sign to be prepared for the worse, which the demoncrats are showing us daily their truly evil souls.

Not sure how accurate this site is https://www.wikiarms.com/group/9mm  that I just found googling for 9mm rounds.  Looks promising if looking for standard calibers.

Think I mentioned before, I use .40 mostly and have enough of those, but I just bought my first 9mm and can’t even test it out!  Not sure I can stomach .60 to .80/rd for non-mag rounds!
