We have used Carlos at A Plus Painting out of Auburn at least 3-4 times between our lake house and our house in Georgia. He has also done superb work on our daughter’s house. Just recently - at the lake - he and his crew removed, replaced, caulked and painted all the rotten wood along our extensive decking system and stair ways , re- screened a porch , removed and replaced all the rotten wood on our eaves and other areas of the house ( our house is cedar) caulked and painted.  The job was outstanding and the price was more than fair. 

About 7 years ago they re-caulked and painted our entire lake house- removing and replacing as they went. Again for a great price. 

Also, just recently, they painted the inside of our Georgia home and made wood rot repairs on the outside around window sills and eaves. 

For our daughter they did a deck addition and painted the entire house- including lime wash on red brick. 

We just can't say enough good things about Carlos. If you want someone who shows up when they say they will and works until the job is done in an expeditious fashion --   someone who has integrity and charges a fair price for a fantastic job. Call Carlos.

Did you ask him why the eaves rotted? Maybe, gutters or having them repainted every 3 years will avoid the expense of having to replace them.

it was actually more around windows with a few eaves and then the decking railings ..  .. if I had to do over would not have house made of cedar!  It's just nature of the beast I think .. also the builder failed to put moisture barrier which we have now added to the towers of the house. Aggravating...but we bought the house 15 years after it was built. it does need gutters though ..so good point! Thats next!

My nephew recently had gutters installed.  He googled best gutters and did a little research to decide what he wanted.  One he made his decision he contacted them through the internet.  His first quote was $8200, they settled at $1900.  He was actually willing to go a little more but they caved at the 19 mark.  Just know that everything is negotiable.

Thank you for posting about Carlos. We just had him repaint the exterior of our place and are very pleased. As you stated, he showed when he said he would and completed the job in three days (after washing and letting it dry for a day). His lead guy, Fernando, is meticulous. We couldn't be more pleased.
