Sent the porkulus back asking for more money for Americans. Here's how they can offset that additional cost.  Eliminate the following pork:

Invasive species crapola:  $130M

Tibetan scholarships: $25M

U.S.-India Foundation: $30M

Gender programs in Pakistan: $10M

New cars for international workers:  $193M

Kennedy Center: $40M

Grants to foreign countries: $10B+

New funding for the Fed'l govt unrelated to the virus: untold billions

And that's just the easy ones to pick out of over 5,000 pages that members of Congress had to read the thing.  And that doesn't include Rand Paul's annual Festivus Report with $54B in wasted govt spending on things like lizards on treadmills...or is it shrimp...hard to keep up.

But hey, American citizens get a lousy $600 so stop whining right?  If he vetoes it will be interesting to see if it is over ridden by Congress.  He is sticking with America first.....it looks like soon we will back to America last.

Very few NO votes on either side of the aisle. Very sad. At least Trump is still fighting for America. Even though he is apparently in his final days in office, he is still holding the line!

This bill is the poster child for why I believe in limited government.  They simply cannot help themselves for some reason and their only motivator is the next election.  And why?  Because being in political office is a sure path to wealth and power.  There are lots of good things in the bill but the pork, retroactive payments to illegals, etc. make it untenable.

Every single one who voted for the pork ran on a platform to get rid of pork. You get rid of all and start anew and it will be the same in a few years. The only way to avoid it is to stop sending money oversea and use it to finance only clean elections with no lobbyist money or pacs.

As it is now, one has to sell their soul to get money to run and stay in office. It will alway be that way.....

Sadly I think you are right.  The voters at the end of the day are responsible for this.  Unless and until we throw out these dirtbags nothing will change.
