Ran across this and was kinda blown away.  Me and them agree completely.  I am certain we got there via different routes and for different reasons, but we agree the socials should be shut down.

Shut Facebook et.al. down by Mika and Joe

I don't agree with them.  It's only a problem if you look to these platforms for political news and information.  Trump took Twitter to a place it was never intended to go.  I don't think the platforms destroyed the country - people and their attitudes have done that, not the platform.  

I use FB to keep up with friends all over the country, nothing more, nothing less.

Did you really just type that.  Trump is the problem with twitter, according to you because he can be brash.  What about the brutal dictators and terrorists that are still posting on twitter calling for violence and posting videos them commiting violence and even murder.  Trump used Twitter brilliantly to bypas the the MSM he knew would lie and distort everything he said.  Where else would you recomend one go for their politcal news than straight form the politicians themselves,  CNN, MSNBC, The Veiw?  I think the forum has now sssen you do a 360 politically, a 180 from Obammy to Trump and now another 180 away from Trump.

I'll tell you what, if Trump had shut down his Twitter account two years in, he would have been re-elected.  I don't think Trump's twitter feed as a source for truth, justice and the American way.  He tweeted things as he saw them.

I am all in on the accomplishments of the Trump Administration - the economy, the immigration, the reducing regulation to support business and his early work on the virus - formation of the task force and Warp Speed.  But I am not deluded into thinking anything but the last year and a half has been a disaster from a lot of perspectives.  If he had shut his mouth, he would have been re-elected.  I have not changed in the least.  But I realize tht Trump is a one term president and now we have to go forward with Biden and the Democrats.  And if Trump hadn't made that phone call to the election officials in GA, we wouldn't now have a Democratic majority Senate.
