I have a chaparral bow rider. I found the button on the throttle to raise and lower the trim. However, when I do that, sometimes the engine turns off and the engine won't turn over at all until I switch to the second battery.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like a dead short in the tilt/trim wiring is drawing so much amperage that it's killing the engine. Better have that one checked out by someone real familiar with the tilt/trim part of your wiring harness and, particulalry, its connections to the trim pump.

It could be as simple as a bad connection or as hard to find as a wire shorted out somewhere in the harness. Someone with a good meter and famliarity with the tilt/trim wiring should quickly be able to figure it out.
