Currently the stripers are schooling baitfish in big water, and pushing them to the suface. You will see them busting the surface and they will take you for a ride. I caught around 20 fish including one that tipped the scale at around 18lbs. It is my understanding that they will be schooling shad all the way through Feb. Just look for the splashes, or seagulls diving at the shad.

It was near bluecreek. Really any big water is good. Just go after sun comes up and throw big topwater plugs.
