OK 25.. Because the weather has turned cold again the crappie have gone back deep. So you need to be in 20 to 30 foot of water. You need to find old tree tops or other cover where the fish will hold. Or you can wait until the weather gets warmer and the fish move into the shallows. Some of the males have started this already. Then fish brush piles, tree tops and other structure that is close to deep water.

If you get into a mess of fish you will have to take me withyou next time. I usually fish lower in the lake.

I know that sometimes fishermen don't like to let too much out because they are afraid that someone will catch all of their fish when they aren't looking, but even a generalized report on what is biting would be appreciated. Besides, we can't let the monster boaters and party animals over on the general forum have all of the fun.

No kidding!! We should help eaxh other out and not worry about that silly stuff! Personally if i have a good day on the water, i will be more than happy to share info with someone looking for it. Fishing is suspose to be fun and relaxing and if i can help another fellow fisherman have a more enjoyable day on the water then i'm all for it!! So come on guys we are the Lake Martin fishing group, lets help each other out and be civil.

Yeah well when you tell somebody and then they tell somebody and then you go to your hole one day and someone is sitting on it. That sucks, especially if you put the trees there.

You could just say that you caught a mess of bass on brushpiles. Chances are that I will never find them. BTW, I caught a couple of nice bream and a catfish yesterday off of the pier, in spite of the unseasonable weather. Not bad for ten minutes fishing. I didn't go bass fishing, but that info might help others that will. (there are fish in shallow water even though it is cold)
