Yes. Bottom fish with night crawlers or chicken liver (if you can get them to stay on). We have been pulling 12" to 16" out at will. The catch is that i have been feeding them for a year or so right off my boathouse. I would definitely reccomend a fish feeder for your dock if you have one. Keeps the fish in and the freezer full.

Yeah my fishing buddy pulled a 12 or 13 pound yellow cat out the other day. We were bass fishing he was using a 6 inch green lizard. We had to work him for a while to get him in the boat. I could stick both of my fist's in his mouth he was HUGE. We cut on him for about 5 minutes striaght with the electric fish knife. He could have fed the whole family easy.

thanks guys for the info. I have been doing alot of catfishing on logan martin and in NC on High Rock Lake and been catching them from 9 to 38 lbs regular. I know there are some monsters at Martin but haven't had much luck around blue creek, going to work towards the windy creek area and before then try around dam.

Just caught a 15 pound cat . Set 3 poles out layed them down with with rocks on top to hold them in place while I ran to the hous for a drink. Came back to one pole with a big cat and two $100.00 rigs gone. I saw one of the bobbers for awhile then it just went under in big water. Expensive way to fish.
