Question for you guys... I went this past weekend to pull my deck boat out.. unfortunately, when I got there is was already stuck.... seems like the water dropped about 6 - 8 inches this past weekend.... looks like I'm stuck until next spring... is this going to ruin my fiberglass bottom? Just curious? Or will it be OK until next spring? I guess it doesn't really matter either way.. because its NOT going anywhere... :(

I believe that as long as your outdrive is not resting on ground then your hull should be ok if it is not on rock of any sorts.

Once the water does get low enough I would dig the dirt away from the hull as much as possible so that when the water does rise again it is not stuck a foot or more in dirt and the boat will rise with the water.

Good luck, I know that stinks to see your toy stuck like that.

Last year I didn't get down much toward the end of October and my boat got stuck the same way.

What I did was take 6 2x6's made a runner on the sides and managed to place 2 under the boat. (like when you trailer your boat) I screwed those two 2x6's to the other 2 2x6's for like a set of cross members. Then I grabbed two 2 ton floor jacks and some 3/4" plywood so the jacks wouldn't sink in the mud. I jacked the whole contraption up about 10" off the bottom and laid 4x4's to support the boat runners and cross members all. I guess it all worked because when I came back in April it was floating and I haven't had any issues out of my boat this summer with leaking. It was an 88 V hull so it wasn't that big of a deal.
