I have now drug my pontoon boat out of the mud, I almost waited to long. It looks like if you take a heavy anchor you can just keep moving your boat out to deeper water.

Yeah, i've thought about just "beaching" mine in the middle of our slew but not sure how to get to it without putting down a bunch of planks. I think someone might just move it too cuz it would just be sitting out in the middle.

Would probably work though. :-)

I'm new to this forum, we have a weekend place between Pier 59 and Coosa Island. The water level dropped enough this weekend that the wife and I decided to just leave the pontoon tied to the dock until spring.

I had considered that too, but we have alot of rocks , and the boat is just a couple of years old , I just didnt have the heart to do it. If we had a soft sandy bank I would consider that too. Heck, I thought of just anchoring down in the main channel and swimming , or wadeing to the house, but around November and December it might get a tad chilly.

Rubber Duck, where in between Pier 59 & Coosa Island Marina? We are in Rabbit Branch marina, but I have a friend that owns the house on the point just down from Pier 59 toward Coosa sland marina.

John are any of your neighbors named Keller and Alicia or Lynn and Melanie? They are old friends of mine and I just found out they are over your way and wondered if you might have met them?

The names don't sound familiar, but I have met a lot of people around there & I'm terrible with names.
