I was going to try to run upstream to the dam today. Ran aground a little over a mile north of the hwy 78 bridge. No damage but still, it really looked like I was in plenty of water. Anyway, went about another mile and decided it was too low.

Parked the boat at the neighbors floating pier and called it quits. But as my bride pointed out, it could be worse. We could be living in an apartment or even homeless. I'll take Logan Martin living over anywhere else, low water and all.

Peace,

Yea my better half is in Chicago and I sent her the water level from yesterday that I posted and we both agreed that while bad and no relief in sight, it could always be worse.

Like sitting at home in Bham every weekend watching my grass turn brown because I cannot water it.

Like I have said before, while I cannot do everything that I would do if we were at full pool, the water level is not stopping me from doing anything I WANT to do. I just have to make a better plan to be able to do these things.

I am not ready for Summer to be over, yet. Plus with a little planning we might take the party down to Lay for a day.

The good thing about being so low is that you ocan get out and see where the shallow spots are. BUt like you said you almost have to have a depth finder to see where your going. I am surprised that so many are out on the water today, yesterday was purdy dead. Today theres fishing skiing even Police pattrolling

Yeah, I just saw the h2o cops go by. I hardly ever see them on the weekends. Not complaining, just observing.

I'm still in Colorado, but headed home Saturday night. We are planing on having some friends & family over Labor Day weekend at the lake. Even though it's low, a bad day at the lake still beats a good day at work! Glad to see you got some rain. There are some VERY low areas there... have fun, but be safe.

John
