Does anyone have the magic answer as to how to remove old dock posts without trying to shovel to China???
The water is low but not enough to uncover some of my dock posts that need replacing.

If you are having a professional come in and install the new dock I would think they would be able to remove it.

If you are doing it yourself, dig a foot down use a chainsaw and cover up the stump.

When the folks built my pier, they had to remove 4 old posts. The water was up then. But they attached their winch to them, put some pressure on it and waited. After a few wakes came by, the old posts popped right out.

As for getting them out to replace. Well, if your gonna replace them, you're gonna have to dig I would think. Sorry, I know thats not much encouragement.

you can find someone with a trackhoe and hook a chain to the bucket and they will pop out with no problem.
