I live near >>>>. There is a pass that in full pool is only 4 to 5 ft My neighbor applied for a permit by i was told that there was no digging allowed right now. who else can i talk to? for a permit Last week i had to trim my bayliner up to trailer position and get every one out of the boat and walk it throu the pass. this is crazy it was like this last year also. u wold think that since the water is so shallow now we could dig out this pass plus u can get to it with a backhoe now since the water is so low. I was told that if many people complain and sign a complaint form may be some thing could be done. My neighbor has already replace two props on his mastercraft from running it in the mud. who if with me on signing this form for pro digging or can explain why we can dig. should i do my digging at night and say it washed out

When I got my permit 2 years ago, the guy told me I could do any excavating that could be done by a man and a shovel. He specifically said not a crew of men with shovels. But me and a helper was fine.
Best bet...call and have their inspector come look at the situation. I guess thats the only good thing about the drought. We can get some stuff done that we couldn't otherwise.
Peace, <>< TC

Hmm, two springs ago a bunch of folks in our slew went together, got a permit, brought in a backhoe and deepened a huge section of of the slew.
Used the dirt for back fill in several yards and payed to have the rest hauled off. They granted the permit then, go figure.
