I have been reduced to a gas guzzling wave runner for the rest of the year. If anyone sees me standing on the pier, stop and pick me up. Yesterday I got to the lake and it was very pleasant, nice temps light breeze, and no pontoon boat to enjoy it with. If anyone knows of an old boat sitting around somewhere thats not getting used please let me know. I am looking for a great deal in a boat. All it has to do is run and float.

I hate the fact that many of you have no water access,at your own piers, but it does me good to hear when you overcome by moving boats to deeper water, or find another boat launch thats a little longer. there are still many nice days ahead.

From the main channel turning in towards Coosa island, you should be on the left side of the "red house on the island" after you pass the red house, you should stay on the left side of the little knoll with the bouies lying on it. "The pier 59 side" the water on the other side of that little knoll is only about 1 - 2 ft deep in one little strip across there. and if you want another reference point theres a pier that is made out of what appears to be pvc pipe thats a good marker for about where the shallow strip is i've seen 2 or 3 boats get in trouble right there already.

Keep up the good reads. I was kind of disapointed about the lmlpa website . But i think the collective here could easily take its place.

The "Sad day for me " subject line don't thi k i'm through just another hurdle in life to get through. But keep me in mind about unused boats that i might could get a deal on....................... David

My wifes cousin has an old fish and ski that he is trying to get rid of. It is pretty rough looking but it runs and it has a trailer to haul it on. It is a boat that could be fixed up and sold again. I believe you would get your money back out of it.

I have my Triton pontoon listed in the classifieds on this forum. May be more than what you are looking for but thought I would mention my boat any way. I need to sell it because we have moved to Gulf Shores and a center console is in my plans.

Beachbum,

I would like to offer my services to take care of your pontoon while you are away if for any reason you decide not to sell it and would like to have it taken care of while you are living it up at the beach,

I can have it gased and in the water for you whenever you come back to the lake.

I will offer these services free of charge and even take it out often to make sure the gas does not go bad in it while you are away.

Thanks for the offer but you would have to get in line with my buddies!
I would gladly pay a "finders fee" if someone finds a buyer for me. I bought the boat new in Jan. 06 and used it very little last summer and this year due to the water level.
I have found a Donzi center console that is the boat of my dreams so I'm ready to move the pontoon!
