For all of you that wanted to be kept up to date - here it is.....

Last Friday Tammy came down with some muscle - She brought a big ol boy from APCO Tommy Miller - Tommy works for APCO corp real estate. Again I have his card if anyone wants to discuss something with him. He was about 6'5" and pushin 450 or so needless to say he was very intimidating. Very nice guy but very intimidating to my 5'11" 200 frame.

Tommy / He proceeds to tell me that APCO owns the property up to the 467' level and all the things I needed to do to come into compliance. I showed him what I had done so far (filled in the hole closest to my boat ramp) but explained I couldn't get out there where I was while I was digging for fear of falling off in the hole I created with the excavator.

He confirmed that nothing...... NOTHING can be in the flood plane. He also wants me to move my fire pit and all the brush that I cleared from down by the boat ramp up onto "My Property" above the 467' water line. So that I can burn it.

Now that some of the hole I dug is filled back in - I have to sew new grass seed up on the bank where the big pile of dirt was. I have to seed it and add 4" of hay, and place a silt / erosion fence close to my seawall to prevent all the dirt that may break loose and fall back into the lakebed.

I just smiled and agreed because
1) He was a big ol boy
2) I still have a significant hole out there that is almost 3' deep at the end of my dock.
3) I don't want to spiss them off anymore than they already are.

There are 2 inspectors for Logan Martin, Nelly Henry, and Lay. Tammy and some other dude (I havent seen him yet). Ledbetter is the main man and he's in the main office in Ohatchee.

That's it -

Scott

Like i said before, I guess most of the home owners on the lake are out of compliance then with fire pits, burn piles, etc...

Sounds like someone needed to some folks to work to justify a slot on the org chart to me. With all the other issues they have, amazing they have time to worry about a burn pit. What a joke.

Chris
