You would take the champions from each the 12 confrences and it would equal to about 5 extra more weeks off college football.

but I still think they could incorporate the bowl games with playoffs and still include many teams.....and probably generate more money.

so watered down - 6 wins to qualify - that it would be an upgrade to reshuffle the schedule and use some of the toilet bowls as first/second rounds of a playoff system. And since it is all about money you can bet that the total gate of all the bowl games would go up significantly.

Hey, the conferences without championship games could play each other on conference championship weekend. Big 10 vs PAC 10 and Little East vs USA/WAC.
