I guess it's time to put the Glastron up for the year... I found bottom this past weekend. Fortunately it was mud instead of rocks or stumps, and I was running slow with sonar. It went from 6' to bottom in no distance at all. It's getting lower each day, and no ramps will be usable soon. It looks as though what's on land, stays on land... what's in water, stays in water... at least until next spring. Time to winterize our place & call it over for the year - all of you be safe, have a great holiday season, and we'll be back in touch next year.

Where did you run aground.

I plan on coming up at least 1 more weekend before we winterize the toys. Also I cannot say that I am through 100% after that. as long as the air is warm I have a shorty wet suit if I can find time to get out.

Still I cannot let Summer go, it came and went way too fast.

I'm gonna be a full timer this year and really looking forward to it. I recall the last 2 winters being great times to be at the lake. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful. We would come up late in the week and spend the weekends.

My pontoon has been at the neighbors floating pier for 6 weeks or more already. I started to get it out yesterday and go for a short ride but chickened out.

Stay in touch.

I'd like to know where you ran aground, too. I drove from River's Edge to Stemley on Saturday and back on Sunday. Much lower and I won't do it but I'm not calling it quits. I didn't winterize my boat last year and depending on water levels may not do it this year. There are just too many great days to ski in the winter.
