I experienced fising on lake Mead once where the bass would all at once start hitting the top of the water for about a 5 to 10 minute interval. There was one interval in the morning and one at night. The water would appear to "boil". You could catch as fast as you could throw out and reel in.

I seen this happen last Sunday at Lake Martin.... Too bad it was a diving trip and not a fishing trip!

Where do you dive, what type of conditions do you encounter. The only freshwater diving I have done is in the Rock Quarry in Pelham in Birmingham. I would love to see pictures of things you see if you have any.

This is my favorite time of the year to go fishing. I could probably clean up without even putting the motor on the jonboat. The last time I was at the lake, the shad were schooling right in front of the cabin just before sundown. If I had headed for the barn a little sooner, I would have caught a bunch of them(not that I had a bad trip). The bass weren't boiling, but I was still getting into fish by cranking beneath the shad.

I am not sure if I know him or not. We may have gone on a Gulf trip together with Adventure Sports. The water temp last week was 70 degrees all the way to 30 ft. It was pretty stirred up though, 2-5 feet visability.
