The next meeting has been announced.
Nov 15th 6pm Pell City Civic Center.
It looks like they are talking about shoreline permits and real estate.
I am going to try and be there, anyone else, let me know and I will look for you.

I just bought a lot on LM, so Im new here. What is this LMLPA meeting for and about. Does it have anything to do with APCO? Please someone fill me in. After reading the post from some of you guys, I am wondering if I done the right thing by buying a lot here. The lake level will come back up so that does not concern me. Thanks

Welcome Steve, I am another Steve........
LMLPA is a non profit orginazation put together to help fight whatever fight is out there whether it is the water wars with GA and FL or the bigger war with APCO.
I have only been on the lake for a year and have yet to make it to a meeting but hope to attend this one. their newsletters look very informative.
What part of the lake are you on? It will probably be quiet this part of the year but we have enjoyed our place and would not trade it for anything.
Let me know if you plan on going to the meeting.

If you get a chance check your email, I sent you my cell number. Im just north east of poor house on the main part of the river. Near where the long dry point is. I would like to talk with and meet some of the people around here on the lake. I would like to go to that meeting. Thanks, the new steve

I'm kidding of course. Welcome! I'm just down stream from you, just south of Stemly Bridge. We'll take all the Steve's we can get.
You didn't mess up. Logan Martin is a jewel and you are right, the water will come back. Probably with a flood next year that we will all be griping about.
I have the meeting on my calender but it is a crowded month for me. I will try my best to be there. How are we all going to know each other? Carnations? Secret handshake?

New Steve, don't worry, you've made a good choice, especially for the value. I'm in Stemley Cove and overall really have enjoyed Logan the two years since getting a place. Anything we've been griping about here is the same as on the discussions for Martin and Smith.
There might be "nicer" lakes in Alabama, but for convenience from B'ham, the growth of Pell City, shallow lots, good value for the $$$, I have not regretted being here. Salt of the earth people around this area as a good friend of mine says about the folks around Pell City and the lake area.

(New Steve).... you aint messed up, unless you didn't know about all the work keepin the place up so you could enjoy it to its fullist. The forum is a great place to keep up with currenet events and meet some of the best folks on the lake. Catch yall in the next thread................David

Come Spring we will again try and plan a get together. We tried over a couple of weekends this summer and a few people met so we will have to try and do it again.
