Alrighty then since it will be freezing in an hour or so, lets talk about Spring on the water.
Just to get things rolling how about Saturday April 12 at Pier 59 and Saturday April 19 at Clear Creek? Or vice versa or both P59 or both CC.
Again I am partial to both of these places because besides P59 reputation and their food is spectacular and I would even take my kids and have taken them up until dark or shortly after. After dark is another story just not for kids.
Thats far enough in advance to talk about it and see whats up. Also by then I will be planning my life around the lake instead of the lake around my life.........
Speak Up - I also have no problem coming up river if someone can suggest a good hangout.

To heck with this cold weather. I'm like you, ready for summertime and planning my life around the lake. Unfortunately, I can't meet up either of those weekends, but maybe another time soon. Roadtrip with the girlfriends, and so ready for it! Lookout Gulf Shores, here we come.

I am about 3 miles from the dam on the Talladega side, if you know where Waters edge is and School bus island is. I am in the low rent district back in the back of the slough in between the two.
I do know where General lee is, are you across the main channel or across from GL on the ssame side?

Dont worry we fortunately we will be there any weekend and you can find me having lunch or dinner at P59 almost every weekend.
Boiled shrimp and buffalo wings........yummmmm!
I have to ask an uncomfortable question,,,,,,,MakeMeLaf,,,,,,,,Male or Female?????
Sorry I had to ask, RatherBeSkiing for the longest seemed to be male until we started talking and actually is a really nice lady that is tough enough to ski in 45 degree water.........

I found this map for anyone that is new to Logan Martin.........
there is a zoom button that lets you make the map larger for looking at.
When you hear me refer to "school bus island",,,,,,this map refers to it as "house boat island"......
And MakeMeLaf, I know exactly where sundance is now........hope to seee you all soon......

Hey,
Just let us know what weekend. I am sure we can work something out. We have 2 boys 10 and 4, but whatever everyone decides about whether to bring kids or not is fine. I know we always like a night out without the kids too. Looking forward to meeting some new friends on the lake. We are planning on being around most weekends.

Will let cha know that I'm a tough little female, but dare not ski in 45 degree water even with a wet suit on. Frost bite really hurts. Although, I have ridden few bulls in my time. Mechanical that is.

RBS Is tough. Out skiing in this weather. Hope we can make some of these get togethers work out. Even if only a few can make it, eventually we may meet everyone. Catch yall soon......

Like I said the Spring is coming and just because we plan these dates does not mean that another weekend wont work just as well. I just threw those dates out for suggestion.......
I will be at P59 (expect to) for dinner March 15th because that is the first full day of spring break.
If anyone is up that day I fully expect to be chillin (literally) in the boat most of the day and Sunday too.
