I have a V-drive boat. The steering is a little stiff. It was not that way when I put it up for the winter. I greased the rudder collar but could not find and lub. point on the cable. Any ideas.

take it to a professional. I have witnessed what happens when steering cables break and it is not pretty

Sometimes my steering is a little stiff. Just leave me alone for an hour and I'll steer fine. Providing, of course, that you have pampered me and lubed me up correctly.

My steering wheel mounting assembly has a fluid resevoir with fill plug... Just something new for you to look for.
