Has Ala Power announced when it will begin to raise the level to full pool? If not, is there anyone to call for this information.

Someone refered to an article they saw that the level would begin to rise the 20th of april with full being by the 1st.

if it will rain one good time after the 20th it will fill up in a day or two........

Should I start my rain dance now, or wait until the 20th? I wouldnt want to cause it to rain out before then . I sure hope thats right , it will help my situation tremendously. Wow, that was a long word, I hope I got it right

With our (Logan Martins) luck it will rain the 18th, APCO will let it out on the 19th and it wont rain until October............

Meanwhile everyone around us is full......... Martin and Smith recover from 15+ feet below full and are within inches of full now.......

Does that make us the red headed step child (lake)????????

If those lakes can rise 10+ feet in 30 days why can we not rise 3 foot?????

Believe me I have been wondering the very same thing. Im sure there is a reason but I dont think they could ever make me understand it or believe it. The other day when it went to 463.3 I thought this is good, maybe we will hold here for a few days then rise on up, the very next morning I checked it and we were right back down. Good ol APCO.

It would seem that the surrounding municipalities would put pressure on them to raise the level so that tax revenue would begin to flow in.

Gas, food, gas, alcohol, gas, gas, alcohol, gas, alcohol. you know the necesssities of lake life......

As I understand it from years past information,Logan Martin is the main flood control lake on the Coosa. With the past experiences of heavy rains in the winter and spring ours is the last to be filled to full pool. Held low as an emergency reservoir.

There are lots of questions about the level that come up and I have also had times that Ive wondered why apco has seemingly picked on us who have places or homes there but it is what it is and they are governed by multiple agencies.

Therefore I am just happy to be able to enjoy our weekends there and accept it as it is.

I was at the lake this morning and it is starting to look good. Maybe it is on its way up. Lets not get in any hurry it is still spring and that means spring showers. I do not want to have to pull my camper off the point at Powells.I do not need a flood just full pool.
