Anyone having any luck? If so, how deep and what are you using for bait?

No bragging here either. Tried some silly stuff Saturday, fishing a streamer on a fly rod in known deeper crappie places. Caught one small bass. Ended up tangled up most of the time trying to get the 1/32 oz. streamer out of the water after it had sunk down to 5 or 6 feet.
Threw a dog walking bait early for bass and had 2 hits. Missed both of them. Threw a rattletrap for a while and nothing.
Only good fish I hung was on a 5 wt. fly rod (and streamer) fishing from the dock. Fish immediately broke the 4 lb. leader and headed out. Probably about a 2 lb. spot.
Dang water is mighty clear to catch crappies unless it's real early or real late in the day. Should be time to get them around a light at night.

We are on the river side, haven't seen much. SIL & daughter caught a few good bass in the lake last weekend. We caught a couple of cats off of our dock.
