I have a 90 HP motor on my pontoon which does not want to start. I have recharged the battery. I hear a spiining but no motor cranking. Who is a reputable person or dealer that someone on the forum would recommend?

disconnect the battery and scrape the posts and the connectors where they make contact. you can use a pocket knife. make sure that the lead is shiney and the same with the copper or what ever you have.

then reconnect and make sure that the connections are very tight, use pliers but don't break the bolts/studs.

this works about 50% of the time if you have really charged the battery.

check the voltage on the battery, it should be around 13 volts on a hot fully charged battery. if it is less than12 you need a new one
