It was a great weekend even though it was a bit windy and a little rough but Pier 59 food was kickin and some people should just not sing Karaokeeee...........

FYI Pier 59 has gumbo inside and boiled shrimp on the back porch all day saturday and live band that night.........

I will probably do both but let me know if anyone else travels down and I will look for you........

It better be a beautiful weekend! we are due,,,,,,,,,

Whats everyone else doing?

I'll be out and about too. I have 2 sisters coming in from Colorado, and I plan to take them to Pier 59 for some good food and cold beer. I'm sure the lake will be crowded next weekend... everyone has waited a long time for full pool and warm weather. Be safe.

Kayak -

By road it is about half way between 231 and the dam off of the dam road and has a marquee sign where you turn. By road turn right when the road deadends and follow the road to the water and you will see it with a blue top.

By water from the main channel going towards the dam there is a red house on an island with no road access. Also old rabbit branch is back that way. you go past the red house on either side and when the water opens back up look to the left for a building with a blue roof and house boats on the pier in front.

on the main channel if you get to the sail club you have gone too far.

KKEL

Me personnally have a ballgame at 9am and will be at the lake by 12 in the water by one and will probably go straight over for lunch or just to check things out.

after that we will probably be back around sundown to hang out on the patio for some adult beverages......Not sure who the band is but the patio is usually a fun place to be after dark if a bunch of folks are hanging out....

I almost included in my original post " Lunch Anyone ? " but I don't know if I'll be around or not or wich day even. But be sure to keep the post alive so that everyone can try and meet. Even if its on School bus island would be good for me. bout to take a short ride and watch the lighning on the horizon and the moon through the remaining clouds...He// yeah. "those are not Ls they are forward slashes". I think I'm in the clear.

Even if Pier 59 does not work out for anybody on Saturday then I am sure we will make the trip down to the rock on Sunday and anchor down for a couple of hours.

For those of you that dont know I have a royal blue supra wakeboard boat so feel free to flag me down or float up if you see me anchored down......

Was not me, we did not make it up that far yesterday, we got out wakeboarding around 4pm from my place down to the dam.....

It cleared up enough for some smooth water..........

I should be back up that way Saturday.

There is a totally blue boat that I saw when I was up there Sunday....... Mine has white highlights around the top and bottom.......

Thanks, I found it....was out there Monday and had a great time. Water was a little rough from the wind and all the boats but the temperature was good both in the water and out. If you ever see me (I have a 20ft tan Odessey pontoon) wave me down and say hello. Thanks again!
