You could not have convinced me gas was at 4.00$ a gallon this weekend.I believe that was the most crowded I have seen the lake in a long while even before the drought. It was a great weekend although I seen some of the most dangerous driving ever. Peaple were going every different direction posible, mainly these new pontoon boats who you can tell have never been on the water.Just glad no one was hurt that I know of.

Unbelievable how much was on the water....... We mainly stayed on the bottom end but rode to the cliffs Sunday afternoon and rough water and traffic was an understatement...... I bet the next few weeks will be nice and quiet though,,,,,,, I hope so because I will still be out there......

BOY, you guys don't know how lucky we are. After seeing the lakes in Georgia logan was empty. Even Cheryl said how much she loved this lake because its not crowed. The great thing is over here you do not get the huge 30 and 40 foot boats making 8 foot ocean waves. you can not enjoy it at all. We have lake two lakes within a 30 minute drive and we are happy to drive two hours to see a lake paradise like this. What a great weekend. see you guys, other other, Ga. Steve

I had family in from Colorado. We went out several times, but nobody wanted to ski or ride the tube because of the rough water. We stayed in the Rabbit Branch & Clear Creek areas for the most part. I'll be back next Saturday. My guess is that Steve is right... it will be a lot calmer. I'm not complaining one bit. I can't blame everybody for wanting out on the lake - it's been a long time since we had water like this to enjoy. Be safe.

I am not complaining either. Had a great weekend, just want everyone to be careful as possible. This weekend will be better the only thing is I burnt all my gas this past weekend. I will have to save for a few more weeks.

We rode probably 2 hours or more Monday. It was busy but I didn't think it was overly crowded. But I did make a comment about the pontoon boats that looked like new. Some of those puppies were pretty fast too. And they looked to have fairly new drivers on them.

I only saw the water cops twice too. They had a pontoon pulled over for some reason just north of Griffith Bend and then saw them late afternoon. Headed home I guess. I haven't heard of anybody getting hurt.

But today was the best so far. While eating lunch I told my bride I had only seen one boat all day. Had been doing yard work and weed eating. So we decided to go cruise. Rode almost to the dam and back and saw 5 other boats and 2 Sea Doos. So nice and calm. This is what it's all about. Weekends are for friends and family. Weekdays are the gift we get for hosting the friends and fam.

Peace,

I really didn't think it was too bad considering it was a holiday weekend. I've seen some weekends as crowded it seems. Given the high winds and high traffic i really eas expecting it to start white capping but it never did. My kids wanted to tube on the new 4 person tube so they were waive seeking anyway which isn't too bad in a 'toon. Would have been a bit rough in a ski boat though.

We used to go to the "the" lake in Oklahoma at my wife's family and this was nothing. The boats there are so huge and the waives look like the tide hitting the beach on busy weekends.

I saw one pontoon boat that had the front end out of the water and it wasn't overload in the back... it was "toting "the front at about 40+ mph. I think it had a 150 horse on it . Too much for me

Yes, I saw more than one toon cruising at 25mph +, not towing and just generally riding around like" lets see how fast this baby can go"......

I dont have a toon but if I did it would be for put put around not get up and go.......

hmmmmm

its getting so we just leave our ski boat and bass boat and waverunners at the dock and go in the pontoon all the time.........it does everything and rides better than anything else in rough water. we love it. usually we just troll but when its time to go we can scat!
