Whats that thing called these guys are sking on. Looks like a ski with a chair but it has a lower hydofoil or something that rises you up out of the water? Dude that thing looks like a blast! One of the guys was even doing flips on it.

Quiet around here or is it just me?

Thats on logan martin lake too. Im not sure if its the same guy or not, but I have seen the one your talking about, doing flips and everything. I wonder how hard it would be to do, not the flips, but just learning how to ride the thing. Ratherbeskiing , tell us about it .

The article in the magazine says they can run from $1200 to $3500.....

Every hobby has its price

Wow. It looks like fun. But not that much fun.

But then I remember my Dad's reaction when I spend $200 for a slalom ski many many years ago. And we didn't even have a boat at that time.

The only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys.

Peace,

It's a hydrofoil. I've added a link to a trailer from a DVD called The Secret Spot. Great video of all kinds of water sports with an awesome soundtrack. The DVD has a whole segment on hydrofoiling. The trailer has a few short clips.

I watch the trailer in the dead of winter when I'm feeling lazy and don't want to work out. Gets me fired up to ski.

You know, I didnt think about it until I watched this.

But you might want to stay in deep water.

I know I shouldn't be but...

LMAO

Thats too funny. Yes, stay in the deep water.

I plan to be on the pier after lunch tomorrow. Anybody gonna be around? Might even cruise a little. Just filled up the gas cans.

Peace,

I talked to Tramp at Logan Martin Boat Center on 231. He's the guy to talk to about riding the air chair.
