Is there a fireworks show at Logan Martin Lake on the 4th of July?

Yes. 2 of them that I know of.

Pell City does one at Lakeside Park. The sign says 8:30 but it's usually 9 before they get going.

Then there a guy just south of Stemly bridge that does a great one right after they finish. And he tries to give the folks traveling by boat a little while to get over his way so I'm saying he starts close to 10. It's very professional and a great show. Theres usually 50 boats or so watching from the water.

The scary part about the individual one at Stemley Bridge is there are soooo many boats going up river after the Pell City one, they all start slowing down to watch and it gets a little congested as everyone is working their way under the bridge.

I'm always afraid of getting hit from behind, but I will see whoever it is, spends some $$ because they are pretty good.

He's my neighbor and he really loves doing it. I guess everybody has their favorite holidays and July 4 and New Years are his.

Last year, he unloaded the stuff at the bar by the bridge and we brought them over in 2 pontoon boats. Mine, a 20 footer loaded with stuff and another 24 foot boat and we had stuff stacked everywhere. Was a pretty good show. For New Years we have to carry everything down the hill. He's never really said what they spend but they do enjoy it. I guess they get their moneys worth.

I agree, all the boats out there is a bit congested but it's nothing like the deal on Martin. I'll be sitting on my pier watching.

Yall can all tie up here if you want but I have a short pier. (insert your own joke here). It'll be more like rafting up but thats fine too. I'll have a crowd here. If you're lucky, there might be a rib left.

Clear Creek Marina is doing their fireworks show on July 5th starting around 9pm.

A big CAUTION for anyone going to the civic center fireworks. The boaters act like they don't have a brain the way they try to leave the area. A boat cut in front of me, I had less than a foot between me and his outdrive and he had the nerve to cuss me out for being too close. Then as I went around him, the boat had no bow lights. This event brings out the real stupid boaters, so be very careful. Each year I swear I'll never go back by boat but the family always wins. BE careful. Oh yeah, if you've never gone to the fireworks by boats. they estimate the boat numbers in the thousands.
