Someone told me that the lake level was not going to be dropped but 3 feet this year. Does anyone know this for a fact? I am new to the lake and would appreciate any information that anyone can provide. I am aware of how low the lake was last winter. Thanks for any information on this subject.

I am fairly new to Lake Weiss myself, and have been told the same thing for the past two or three years. They always seem to drop the level the full 6' though, so I wouldn't expect anything different this year unless we hear something "official" stating otherwise. Sure wish the 3' drop was for real.....maybe it would help keep the lake at full pool more during the summer months (won't take so much to fill 'er back up if it's only down 3' instead of 6').

I am in the process of purchasing a lake lot, and just met with AL Power. They said it will not be this year, but next year they intend to start dropping the lake level only 3 feet.
