I have a 4.3L Volvo Penta that has been running extremely hot. The first time it happened I noticed the water pump was leaking so I removed it, verified the impeller was in good shape, resealed it, and put it back on. Once I accelerated above 20 mph it started leaking again and the temperature began climbing. I would assume I have something stuck in the exhaust to cause enough pressure to build up for it to leak and not get adequate cooling. Anyone have any suggestions of the next step to take?
